In this project, I identified information needs for first-generation college students based on research and then created an annotated bibliography with contact information and descriptions of the various services. This project aligns with competency 5F in the Professional Competencies for Reference and User Services Librarians because I analyzed demographic data and information about the Eastern Gateway Community College student population and then used this knowledge to develop an annotated list of services which meet the needs and interests of this diverse, underserved user group.
