Project Description

In this project for LIS 60692, I created an instructional video based on a virtual, in-class instruction session I conducted for a Microeconomics course at Eastern Gateway Community College (EGCC). My goal was to provide research guidance to students and connect them with information that would empower them to succeed in their course and improve their information literacy skills. To determine the students’ information needs and seek advice on conducting in-class instruction sessions, I collaborated with the course instructor and the EGCC Library director, which aligns with competency 5C in the Professional Competencies for Reference and User Services Librarians.
